Ae O Aa Zara Mudke - Kishore Kumar It all begins with Jimmy as a little boy - carrying on the streets of Bombay with Rajesh Khanna (billed as a "friendly appearance") - with guitar and drums entertainment of the entire neighborhood. From the distance a Rich Little girl watches the fun loving pair in envy and one day she invites Jimmy compound wall behind her to make music together. Her father comes home, even though the boy and punches in the face, throws Jimmy's mother tothe ground and arrested Jimmy. From their neighbors, the mockery of the mother and son are forced to leave Bombay in shame and elsewhere - but the little boy swears vengeance - his weapon of choice - disco. Jump to fifteen years ago in the middle of disco fever and the "I'm so cool it must hurt" Sam rules the disco kingdom. The admiration and success gone to his head, as if he desire to speak with groupies, about himself in third person and yells in English "Shutup. Sam is great you know. Sam is a music king. Sam is a star. "Unfortunately for Sam his salad days are over. Selfishly Sam's frustrated his manager leaves him and goes searching for a new talent. No wonder, he spots Jimmy (Mithun Chakravarti) sort skipping and dancing the street and immediately knows this is the next big thing! "is his first appearance at the audience filled with hostile fans of Sam (a bit like when the Beatles came along and pissed off theElvis fans) and Sam (Kim's sister, just as billed) leads the other women throw their shoes at Jimmy - but our Jimmy calmly catches them and soon the crowd is eating out of his hand with his white stretch outfit and his crab like dancing - and sometimes rolling on the floor. It does not look as big as he takes some really odd moves - but at least compared to Sam is a significant improvement. Sam kind of moves like the Energizer Bunny - all stiff armed and mincing steps - and enjoyedJump in and out of the frame for no reason. Soon Jimmy fever breaks out all over India and everyone buys Jimmy T-shirts, Jimmy Perfumes, Jimmy Ice Cream and Jimmy Fabrics. He is the new disco king! Meanwhile, Sam comes from bad fashion sense to heavy drinking to shoot heroin in his depression, with no more groupies to grope. Of course, the life of the perplexing bowl of cherries it is, makes it hard to believe that the girl shoes throw it the same girl, he was theplayed with so many years before! This means of course that her father is the cruel and wide tied creep that so shamed Jimmy. What is a mystery - he of course soon be tried in love with the girl but the father and son to kill him so that Sam can Europe back to the throne. Yes, they disco very seriously in India. So they hire a gang of thugs to beat poor Jimmy Wales. In a truly classic scene they surround him - each snapping their fingers in line as they pour in rapid succession onJimmy - soon he is a bloody helpless rag doll in the dirt - until they make the big mistake of smashing his guitar. Do not break a man's guitar when he was - is this simply a bad impression. Jimmy pulls himself up - and starts snapping his fingers - the hooligans pause - in fear of the snapping fingers - and Jimmy uses his astonishing kung fu skills (which he apparently forgotten that he previously possessed) and wipes them all out . Bruce Lee would be proud. Later these same hooligansbeat him with hockey sticks and throw him over a cliff - but that's not enough to stop this, Disco Dancer. He is soon throwing them through windows and kick them across the room. The film has many such bad but enjoyable scenes - an electric guitar, which is aimed towards literally, Jimmy discophobia and development cried out in pain when he touches his guitar, Rajesh Khanna appears out of nowhere a double twisting flying somersault from twenty feet away perform rescue Jimmy and the badGuys just mowing the audience with a machine gun. Of course, during the disco period I think many of us would have liked to have done the same thing! In addition, the very fun dance numbers come with the flashing lights, the beat spinning disco balls, the wonderful background dancers in tinsel and the disco. The music is very catchy - some seven songs and each of them a little pop delight. I had about the music come first, and enjoyed it so much that I finally see the film --and almost the first scene to the last I had a big silly goofy smile on my face pressed, which is every time I think of Sam and his partner (in her hotpants like an overstuffed sausage) singing "Bang Bang" or Jimmy with some weird little Batman mask around his forehead is humming "I am a Disco Dancer".
